The visuals in this title are absolutely stunning. You have the option to build the perfect place to further your goals. Create bellows for new armor, cultivate crops for potions and bring merchants from across the land to offer their services for magical trinkets. There is also the option to create a castle that you can customize to be the perfect base of operations. I was pleased to find that the combat was easy to understand and I have a great time with it all throughout. Tactical strategy is the key to surviving this combat and the game rewards your ingenuity nicely by actually working the way things are supposed to when you try something. Entirely grid based, whether you are exploring the greater world or the engaging in combat, movement is enacted through the turn-based tiles.Įssentially a point and click, the exploration takes a backseat as the title is mostly just moving from fight to fight. This game gives off a distinct For The King vibe mixed with X-Com that I cannot complain about.
